7 Fuel-Laden Vessels And Others At Lagos Ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has said 31 vessels laden with petroleum products and other commodities have berthed at the Lagos ports.

This was contained in NPA’s daily bulletin, “Shipping Position” released to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday in Lagos.

According to NPA, out of the ships, seven carried petroleum products, including aviation fuel,
four have bulk rice, fresh fish, bulk malt and containers.

 It said that 20 other ships were currently discharging empty containers and various commodities at the ports.

It listed the items being discharged to include general cargo, bulk wheat, steel products, bulk sugar and base oil.

It also said that 59 ships carrying various items would also sail into the Lagos ports from Sept. 9 to Oct. 2.

“Seven of the ships will arrive with petroleum products, 25 of the vessels will come with bulk wheat, general cargo, bulk sugar, bulk rice, semi trailer, crude palmolein, ethanol, bulk gypsum and steel products.

“The remaining 27 will come in with other goods,” it stated.
